Japanese Particle ね (ne)

The particle is used for: Tag Question (Seeking Agreement) (JLPT N5). The sentence-ending particle 'ね' (ne) is used to soften tone, invite agreement, or double-check consensus, equivalent to 'isn't it?'.

Context Example

この映画は面白いです[ね]。
Kono eiga wa omoshiroi desu ne.
This movie is interesting, isn't it? (Role: Agreement)
