Japanese Particle が (ga)
The particle が is used for: Subject of Existence (JLPT N5). The particle 'が' (ga) marks the subject of existence verbs (いる for animate objects, ある for inanimate objects).
Context Example
あそこに猫[が]います。
Asoko ni neko ga imasu.
There is a cat over there. (Role: Subject of Existence)
